  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I am just about to shoot a commercial on the RED ONE and must be honest in that I really know nothing about the RED other than it is a viable option to HD. Can anyone help with a crash course or point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.
Marc

I'm no expert but I am willing to help with my limited knowledge. I'ver shot about 20 commercials with the R1 and 15 days of the new tracey Ullman showtime show.

the do's and dont's, the best DIT in Los Angeles, where I can get the camera, what is the best one to get etc etc, what I must allow for...
if we can talk on monday that would be good.

One of the most important considerations of shooting with RED is what to do when the shoot is over. Find a DIT that has knowledge of what the best post workflow would be for YOU. RED can be finished in dozens if not hundreds of different ways.
