Kennan Ward has returned from spending four months in the Alaskan Wilderness with the RED. He shot over 7TB of RAW footage that we have only just begun to dig into. We put together a few "teaser" videos showing off some of the footage we have processed thus far.

From this page you can download the 1080p version(h.264) which is around 860mb. I would definitely recommend it! Looking at a compressed version just doesn't do it justice!

Enjoy!

Awesome. Love the Laidback Bear, just kicking back, not a care in the world....

IMHO- Kennan has captured some of the most stunning images I have seen come off a Red thus far. I thought I was outdoorsy, not even close

Aw come on Kennan...those images suck!

LOL...just kidding! They seriously rock...

A few weeks ago me and my wife Pamala had the pleasure of trekking a few hours up the coast from our office in Pismo Beach to spend a few days with Kennan and Karen at their Santa Cruz office. While there we compared notes on our mutual roots in wildlife and adventure travel production (especially in Alaska), and showed each other footage. It was way cool...

I'm not surprised at this thread's reaction to Kennan's reel - ours was the same - they are stunning images shot with a special artistic flare. BTW - beyond top-quality cinematography, Kennan and Karen are both superb 35mm stills photographers. They've shot some of the best wildlife and scenics stills I've ever seen - and I've been shooting stills since 1969 myself.

Beyond all this they are really cool people - laid back, into nature and green issues, etc. Me and Pamala hope to have a long friendship and working relationship with Kennan and Karen. Hopefully we'll be able to provide you with some details on that before the end of the year...

Sublime...Fills me with sorrow and shame for my species.
Animals are so much cooler than Humans.
These images express respect for their innocense...Very moving.

Thanks,

DogDay

Really inspirational and beautiful work here. Thanks for uploading at 1080p so we could enjoy it in all its glory.

Was this for a specific project?

WOW! Amazing footage - the slow motion looks incredible! Very beautiful scenery!

When we decided to do this project... we only hoped that someone would use a RED ONE to capture such images. Reels like this are what make our efforts completely worthwhile. While other companies may measure their success by how much profit they make, we measure ours by posts like these... thank you... so much.

Great looking footage!

Running off to Alaska with my RED is on my agenda, I just don't when it's going to happen. You just lived one of my fondest dreams and it looks like you have tons of beautiful images to show for it. Can't wait to see more!

Anyone know what lenses taken on the trek?

Beautiful footage, wow!

This are great shots, very beautiful and inspiring. Thanks for sharing them.
