Best of breed solutions for a complete RED workflow.
RED - DIGITAL VISION - AVID

“We evaluated all the latest and greatest red support from various vendors and the Film Cutter really impressed us in our longform editorial needs. The conform features combined with the fact that you can just drag and drop R3D files onto the timeline is a massive timesaver and excellent for a Red project”.

Matt "Wispy" Clarke Head of Editorial - The Mill

Following a very busy week we have extended our Los Angeles Red workflow demo's for another week.

We invite you to join us for private in-depth demo sessions at our offices in North Hollywood (3rd to 6th Nov), to learn how Digital Vision can provide you with the complete postproduction solution for all your RED R3D projects.

The challenges facing R3D postproduction include metadata management, generation of versions for editorial, online conforming, image enhancement and grading. We shall cover all these areas from dailies to final master and provide expert advice on how to optimise your workflow, maximise your creativity and deliver the best pictures possible in the most efficient way.

The demonstration will feature how our latest Film Master software, version 3.6, in conjunction with Avid's Media: DNxHD and MXF, provides R3D media the perfect post production complement for editorial, grading and image enhancement and produces the highest quality deliverables at any resolution up to and including 4K.

The workshop sessions are on the hour, every hour throughout the day starting at 10a.m.

If you wish to book a slot please call us 818 769 8111.

Would like to know what kind of special support Digital vision has with Avid than other offline softwares.

Since we are using Avid and Digital Vision with R3D support version 3.6r and still unable to import AAF and DnXHD 36 material. I was told by DV representative in Mumbai Broadcast India Show that true support for AAF will only be possible in Version 4.

Is it true and if thats the case then I believe recreating entire Avid Effects by the colorist is not a greater integration as of now.

Our integration with Avid is in constant development so you will see improvements all the time. We have a very good integration and we can re-link to media both from and too the Avid - I'm not sure what you mean by "true support" for AAF - I think it would be better if you contacted us direct if there is a problem. I'd be interested to discuss your workflow so that I can help plan improvments.

If you are having a problem with DNxHD 36 then please write in to our support channel at support@digitalvision.se - you will get as much assistance as you need to fix any issues that you have. (The Red forum is not the best place to report DV bugs ! )

3.6R3 will be out very shortly (possibly today) and this will feature enhanced MXF export, as well as some fixes and new features to the Red conform.

Regards

Nigel
