  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Showreel for Shanghai Studio (segment)

Nicely done - and what a sweet girl!

In shot 2 and 3 (CU of man with glasses) the yellow flowers in the background seem to be overexposed — I would be careful about using that footage as a showcase for critical clients.

But great idea and realisation of quickly showing the benefits of shooting RED rather than say HDV.

thanks for sharing!

Beautiful !
What lens mount are you using when the Red is on the crane ? Nikon?

Overall great stuff. Was the frame rate strange at times, or is it just my computer. There seemed to be times when things were sped up. Also, be careful about tripod jitter. Seemed like some shots were moving a bit which might have been from wind blowing tripod a little.

But otherwise, everything looked nice. What lenses?

Beautiful shots, Vincent. You will impress many people with this. My favorite shots was of the green leaves dangling in front of the green trees. Gorgeous.

Yes, there was something strange in the framerates with at least some of the opening shots. It looks like you might have dropped 24p footage in a 30p timeline or something? Were any shots done with special shutter angles?

Anyway, beautiful shots. Well done. You have a good eye.

You are right! I done this in AE and confused by the 30p timeline. Don't have time to fix them yet. I am shooting more stuff and will adjust them all at once.

I know, I was miss exposure on that shot. Maybe because I am shooting under cooking hot sun in 37 degree C ..... So in the showreel, I was explaining in Chinese how we fix an overexposure shot in post by using red raw footage....

All footage was shot in Nikon 28-70mm or Tamron 90mm. The one on crane is Nikon 18-35mm.
