...Steve Jobs and young Apple..

Kudos to you guys! I can't wait until you cross that finishline. I have a cup of money for you to drink

.. Now where is Ballmer & Gates?

Oh, I thought you were going more along the lines of:

I thought Jim was Prometheus...

Yeah, really. Wouldn't mind being a bucket behind Jim on this one!! I'm sure our faith in this thing is gonna pay us dividends in work satisfaction once RED starts shipping. Here's looking forward to that.

Cheers,
Mark.

I was thinking Red and Jim Jannard remind me of Preston Tucker, but let's hope for a happier ending. ;)

Only, unlike Tucker, Jim is an already established businessman with a publicly listed company - Oakley Inc.

Red happens to be a diversification project rather than the core of the man's business empire...

That or DeLorean... again let´s hope not!

my pure, raw speculation is that he would keep RED private. this is his baby, and public companies are more vulnerable to external forces and influences. private companies afford greater freedom, and i believe he is doing this from 1) love of the project and 2) he's a camera nut and can't help himself. the money, when it comes, is a by-product of pursing a passion.

frankly, i hope he keeps it private because, as benevolent dictators go, he's great....

Jim has already stated that he intends to keep RED private. That could change, but I don't think so.

Tom, that's the funniest thing ever!
