Cooke 18-100 T3 Classic series zoom lens for sale

This is the "Cooke Classic" series and it is the last production model (and the best) of this legendary lens.
I remember ZGC sold these lenses brand new for around $50,000 until 2004 and I only saw a few of this lens.

Includes the following items:

- 15mm Lens Support bracket
- Hard case with fitted foam

Lens is currently located in NYC. It is in excellent condition and please come see in person to check-out this beauty.

Asking $14,000 OBO

Email me at jsteadicam@me.com or 917-415-4200

Price Reduced - $13,000 plus shipping.
Paypal or check payment preferred.
NYS buyer needs to add NYS sales tax or submit the form ST-120.

The lens has been checked and collimated by a lens technician regularly and the last service was done only two weeks ago.
It makes really beautiful filmic images with gorgeous flares.
Moreover, if you can get a Visual Buddha adapter, you basically have the best Cooke zoom with 6K Dragon coverage.

To find out more info on Visual Buddha, please check the following article from Vincent Laforet's blog.

Hello, I'm interested. I sent you an email. Are you able to ship to London?

Thanks,

Ian

Ian,

I've just sent you an email and I can ship it to London.

Here is a brief history of modern Cooke lenses to distinguish between them.

1971: Cooke Varotal 20-100mm, T3.1 zoom lens was introduced
1978: Cooke Super Cine Varotal 25-250mm, f/2.8 was introduced and used to shoot the original Superman
1983: Cooke Cine Varotal 25-250mm Mark II, T3.9 was introduced
1988: Cooke Varotal 18-100mm, T3.0 was introduced at Photokina
1992: Cooke Cinetal 25-250mm, Mark III, T3.7
1998: Les Zellan bought Cooke. Cooke S4 T2.0 production began
2005: Cooke /i technology began with S4/i

And I believe there are only a few Classic Cooke zooms (10-100 T3 and 25-250 T3.7) made between 1998 to 2005.

The lens just has been completely checked, cleaned, and overhauled by Guy Genin at ZGC.
I believe this is the best 18-100 lens exist in mechanically, optically, and also cosmetically. If you want, you can contact Guy to get his comments on the lens.
Therefore, the asking price will stay firm at $13,000.
