Finally I have a reel! Any idea how to get it in HD? Vimeo seems to only set it to SD.

I had too much material so anyone have any advice on what to cut or how to re-order? This is general-purpose, still not shooting enough yet to have reels for each genre or material.

Hey Matt, you have an impressive collection of work there, I really like your lighting and camera moves too. It's one of the better reels I've seen on Reduser actually, nice work Personally though, I feel like you could cut it down. There are some amazing shots in there, some great shots and then some good shots. Get rid of the good shots hehe...and don't write 'affordable' on the end of your reel! Just my 2 cents Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, much appreciated! There are probably some shots I should cut but I wanted to cover all the bases (corporate/narrative/music video)… maybe a problem. But I do think 2:14 is too long. The end title I'll totally change. I am currently just shooting as a hobby (and for supplemental income), but I've been considering shooting more now that I've paid off my C100. Not sure how to market myself, but having a camera seems to increase one's day rate.

Some really nice lighting and compositions...what kind of camera/recorders and glass are you mostly useing.
Looks like you got 2 or 3 really high-end music videos on there...those are so good they kinda stick out too much..hehe..those are too impressive.

Not high end videos, just a genius director and good content in front of the camera... excepting some second unit stuff (the weaker stuff) everything here was shot on a $5,000 budget or less I'd wager and those videos for less. The music videos are Canon dSLR.

The rest is a mix of C100 (mostly, some with Ninja 2), dSLR, Epic, Red MX, ts3cine, not sure what else. The one Alexa spot I did I don't have clearance to post, but it's not great. Lenses are various EF mount lenses, super speeds, various older lenses, primos for two shots, etc. Primos are my favorite then super speeds.

I would recommend splitting out what looks like interview footage from the rest of the reel. Also, I must say that the music only seems to work with the music video + action-based shots IMO - it's a bit weird hearing synths and snares on interview and other placid-looking shots. Other than those notes, I think you've got some great material.

Thanks, I tried cutting a bit around that but couldn't quite make it work.

I wanted to do two or three reels but don't yet have the material. I should, though, and hopefully I can find enough work to do them, even if it means doing some spec work, too.
