Is Apple making a 12 core Mac Pro? I really hope so and when do u think they will release the price of that?

Okay but all I see is a 4 and 6 core? Are they making a 8 and 12 and when are the specs/prices coming out? Would love to know

This wouldn't be the first time they withheld details on the maxed out option until release time. There have also been occasions when the absolute top of the MacPro line did not release until after initial roll out, if memory serves.

Ultrafast rendering. And everything else.

Available 12-core Intel Xeon E5 processors — with up to 60GB/s of memory bandwidth — make rendering tasks incredibly fast. And PCIe-based flash storage and 1866MHz memory make quick work of virtually everything you do.

9 grand!!!!!!!! forget that man

I think it will be around 5 or 6 but 9 Grand I think they will scare people away (I could afford it but that means whoring myself out for like 2 months non stop)

Neil,

Have you ever played with their online configure your own Mac tool in the past? Maxed out from the factory they usually do add up into the 9k range. I never bought one myself, but priced them several times.

Mine is around 7 or 8 k but I bought the base 12 core (the Current one latest model) and maxed it out with ram and everything. But I hear the new macs you can't buy the base price you have buy what you need cause you can't customize it yourself :( that is what is going on the Current Mac book Pros. I want to buy ram not from apple cause they over charge I hope they give you that option

Today while picking up the new Macbook Pro Retina I was told by the store supervisor/business accounts manager that a fully specked 12 core mac pro will be $9,100.00
