Hi!

I thought I'd share a showreel using the Black Armored Drone system.

I've been using this for over a year now together with the masterminds over at Intuitive Aerial. After NAB this year things really got hectic with more and more clients both for me and my company who get to travel a lot more using it for commercials and films but also more orders of the system for Intuitive Aerial.

Now, this thing is a beast. It carries over 20 pounds of gear. We slapped every gear we had onto it including a RED ZOOM, mattebox, 2 ND's and even the Quad Module with two XL batteries in it (the XL's were kind of an overkill, but it looked badass when doing so). But it just lifted and flew like it was nothing. We even did quick drops and going from left to right real fast but the gimbal was steady as hell.

I did a showreel for you guys to see. If you want to get in touch with me just throw away a PM or email me at per(at)effektfabriken.se

Here it is:

We got a Black Armored Package including a pilot, camera operator, the B.A.D and a RED Epic (soon to become a Dragon).

Oh and for more info about the B.A.D check this out:

Will travel anywhere. This is the most exiting times regarding my career as a director/cinematographer. Filming from the air and do crazy shots is just...fun ;)

That leaf shot at 00:51 is insane...AMAZING WORK / REEL. Great job guys I can see why you're busy..:-)

How cold can you go?

Amazing work!!

Thank you for commenting and saying such nice things :)

Eric, the operating range is the same as Epic, 0°C to +40°C. The white B.A.D that is in the end is the Dubai edition :)
As for going cold, we went down to -25°C when filming a snowboard event and it worked fine. Just need to keep the batteries somewhat warm before flying. When up in the air the'll get warm automatically.

how much does that cost? i wan one!!!!!!!

good god man!!!!! But I can still dream :)

Peter, owning a Skyjib myself, I know the skill level and time that goes into making a reel like this, and this is really good stuff. Your work inspired me last year to get one. Amazing how robust it is.

how much does that cost? i wan one!!!!!!!

Hi Neil!

It starts at $45k. Fully equipped $59k.

Neil, not all that can carry an epic are that much. www.infinitejib.ca has a heavy lift model that carries an epic for 26k (i'm going to sell mine soon for 18,500). it's the one pictured in the one in the photo.

My testament to Peter is these things take a huge effort to get good at. Like Mark T said, it's some of the best stuff I have seen.

Is it possible to rent/lease? Does anyone offer this as a day service in Montreal or NYC?

I don't think there are any rental places thats got one :( But I'd be happy to take it to NYC or Montreal. Only a 6 hours flight :)

Heh.

I refer the honourable gentleman to the reply I have given before.

Operating range:

+70°C (at a guess) - Lava in Hawai'i

To:

(some day I'd like to… you know, shoot a movie or some hot girls, something that doesn't involve serious protective clothing….)
