Hi, Im on a shoot right now, and after taking a Carl Zeiss CP.2 100mm out of a well secured pelican case from 3 days of no use. The Focus ring has seized at the "infinity" mark, im not sure if there is a focus lock on this lens but i cant find anything. Here is what I know:

The aperture ring is perfectly fine.

The Focus ring will not budge an inch.

The lens was not exposed to extreme temperature changes.

Carl Zeiss is closed for the day and the local rental house has never seen anything like this, nor can I get it replaced for the day.

Looking through the lens there is no obvious damage to any of the elements, no scuffs to the exterior of the lens.

If anyone has any insight on how this could've happened or how I can fix this problem without returning the lens, any amount of help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!

Damn it. I know I read about this problem, but I'd be lying if I remember what the exact problem was. I do want to say it was something as silly as a loose screw, but it may have been internally. Sorry I'm not much help, but keep searching, because I'm sure others have experienced this problem before. Good luck!
