  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

[FS: SUPPORT] STEADICAM PILOT RIG ANTON BAUER MOUNTS

Agreed. The OP is not posting photos of the Steadicam Pilot. This is shady.

He's posting photos of other rigs with likely heavier setups than the pilot can take. The Pilot Arm absolute max limit is 18lbs. So add the rig + the camera and decide for yourself.

Absolutely correct, the Carbon Fiber Dragon is not part of this rig, thanks for warning everyone. The Steadicam Pilot can carry a 10lb camera setup and this will easily accommodate an Epic, Scarlett, BMCC, 7D, 5D, Aminima, Kinefinity, Arri 235, C100, C300, C500, F5, F55, SI.

Mark Baluk, do you want to bet me $2000? I will meet you at Red Hollywood and fly an Epic, 20mm Zeiss Prime with a Bartech rig on a Pilot and we will let the Red team judge who wins, are you up to the challenge?

I do not want to bet anything. A bare red setup, sure.

But what is in that photo, a baseplate and dovetail.. and all the accessories.. You would not be able to fly that on a Pilot. Also, my original point is that you are trying to sell a Pilot, while you show pictures of other rigs and other vests. While you do not state it is the pilot in the photo, it would seem to make sense that is what you are implying.

I do not understand why you don't show photos only of the rig you are selling.

Thanks and good luck with the sale.

Mark, come on baby, I need $2K, take the challenge!

Don't want to step on anyone's sale... There is absolutely no way you can fly a red cam rig that is anything more than the body and a small lens with a red brick single battery. I have a pilot and I promise you even with the minimal setup I just mentioned, it bottoms the rig out. The pilot is wonderful with a dslr rig, I have used it a lot with my 7d, but it will not accommodate a red cam.

Would you like to see an Epic fly on a pilot? I power the Epic from the rig, there is no way I am going to fly with brick hanging off the camera:

Epic with SSD Module: 5lbs
Bartech and Fmg 6 : 2lbs
Zeiss 20mm prime : 2lbs
Teradek, below : 1lbs

I flew this rig at the Panavision party and it balances perfectly, use rods on the top and power with one Dionic 90. Easily done.

This is my rig with the 7D, it is well under the weight limit and weighs the same as my rig with the Epic and the Zeiss Prime.

Replace the 2lb Canon 7D, the 2lb Zacuto plates and weights, substitute the 5lbs Epic and it is merely 1lb more. Now substitute the Modulus 2000 .6lbs with the Teradek 1lbs and it balances out perfectly and still within the limits of the rig and flys very very smoothly.

SDI

SDI

I just sold the SDI monitor that I was using with this rig, I am now selling it with the original Steadicam 6" LCD 16:9 Monitor with image flip and framelines.
