Hi All,

I just installed Premiere Pro CC, and it starts okay. But the program flashes whenever I hover the mouse over file thumbnails in the Media Browser window. The program just flashes black and then the mouse pointer repositions itself, after five to ten seconds the screen returns to normal. But this behavior happens whenever I hover the mouse over the thumbnail of a media file in the Media Browser window. Obviously, this makes the program unusable.

Things I’ve Tried that Haven’t Helped

Enabling/disabling GPU hardware acceleration.
Completely uninstalling CS 5.5 (which had worked fine).
Uninstalling and reinstalling Pr CC.
Opening different media file types like .MOV, .AVI, .R3D, etc.

My Computer Has the Following Specs

Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
i7 930 2.80 GHz
12GB RAM
nVIDIA Quadro 2000 and Quadro 600 video cards. 4 Monitors. Premiere CC is opening only on the main display which is attached to the Quadro 2000. Driver 311.306.
Quicktime 7.7.4.

This computer runs Avid Media Composer 6.0 and Resolve 9 without issue. It also ran all the CS 5.5 programs (including Premiere Pro) without issue.
It also seems to run AE and SpeedGrade CC without issue. I am only having this problem with Premiere Pro CC.

Your help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you so very much!!

Well, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So here's a video of what I'm seeing:

Seems we already have a handle on this... We will look into a fix. For now we have this advice: creating a new sequence and keeping it open will fix it

Cheers

Dave

Thank you VERY MUCH David for the quick reply and workaround. BTW, it seems that Pr CC plays H.264 considerably faster than CS5.5 did. If that's true, you of course already know that, LOL!

Thank you and your team again!!
