I wonder what it takes to get a response from some one at Red about what lenses will be added (if any) and when (if ever) for use with the Nikon mount.
I truly think my Epic is a fantastic camera and I have always praised Red's approach to the family of 'customers' - and I have always had fantastic service and generous help from everyone at Red Europe but this one issue has been a real blight on the red landscape. It must be almost a year that I have been asking about support for more lenses on the Nikon mount but to date not a single response from Red. It's a real shame and really disappointing. To me it was a lot to invest in a Ti mount and now to find only the same few lenses are actually supported that were announced all that time ago. Please I am trying to ask nicely , please let us know what the future holds in store for the nikon mount and additional lens support...

Especially annoying are the common lenses which "behave badly". The Tokina 11-16, for example, that closes its iris completely at the end of every shot.

Might it be possible for Red to farm out characterizing lenses to interested users? Adobe has done that for Lightroom, and its resulted in a good database of lenses that can be auto-corrected in Lightroom.

+1 Red, please support Nikon glass to the extent you support Canon and third party glass. I have 2 rarely used Red Nikon Epic mounts (Ti and Al) as I mostly use my Optitek Pro-lock mount due to lack of your support for your mount. I will gladly sell them back to you until we get the support deserved.

Im as well waiting for a response about nikon as well as other brand F-mount lenses.

I know cant rush perfection some times have to be patient, but thats hard for me lol.

I am a early adopter of the Nikon mount -I have went along with the RED recommendation of the 3 serious Nikon zooms ( 14-24, 24-70, 70-200) which all work very well with the mount , I also have the 24mm, 35mm and 50mm f1.4's. I understand the necessity of the motor in the lens and which lenses potentially could work. I purchased the NEW Tokina 11-16 with the expectation that it would work or would work soon!!!!
RED has dragged their feet and really should get on the ball and get this and other new lenses working ASAP!!

The Nikon lenses are of highest quality, consistent and give excellent results !!

Support for Tamron and Sigma zooms would be wonderful. The Tamron 24-70 VC would be perfect for run-and-gun work if fully supported, but focus confirm doesn't even seem to work with it, let alone autofocus or stabilization.
