Looking to buy all sorts of interesting filters in 4x4 or 4x5.65 sizes (will even welcome 6x6). Ideally they would be glass all around (not the painted edges). If you have any lying around collecting dust, let me know!

Hey David, I have quite a few filters, both 4x4 and 4x5s, I have some black pro mist and pro soft fx filters all 4x5 I bought them from a guy when I worked in Europe, and he didn't know what brand they were (they're a strange plastic, not tiffen or schneiders) they're scratched to hell, but I bought them in a lot, and have been using them for FX (coloring certain areas with paint etc.) for weird light diffraction / color fx.

I don't know if it's something you're interested in, but ----- worth a shot!

Josh, sent you an email. Thanks!

If you are thinking of filling in the surface scratches on laminated glass filters with UV cure material and back-polishing the surface, it is very difficult to maintain a planar surface. At best there may be wavy artifacts apparent in fine detail moving across the image. Worse,- infinity focus through the filter may no longer be achievable. Acrylic filters may be more difficult to refinish.

Thanks Robert! I actually want to use them to handhold in front of the lens for interesting effects. Looking to degrade the image instead of having a pristine filter.
