Hi Folks

I have just up graded my Epic-X front fan. (Original top fan until I can get the new tactical top plate).

To me it now sounds like this fan has it's own mid to high frequency 'whine' of it's own in record which was not present in the original fan.

The fan wooshing sound is improved over the original but the whine is an additional new sound.

Anyone else had this?

Do you think the whine will improve when working in conjunction with the new top fan when it gets installed ?

Thanks

I just had to send mine back to be looked at as it was more of an issue for sound than they original fan. I think there may just be a batch of defective ones... I would contact your bomb squad rep

Thanks Ryan - that whine was certainly a surprise. You can hear the whine 'changing gear' as the temperature rises. Done some additional research since my first post and I am in the 'Phil Holland' 70 degree adaptive mode. Still have the same sounds coming from the fan. Camera is staying nice and cool for longer it seems but to me the whine is a noticeable side effect.

I initially did not change out the bottom fan when I installed my top fan as I had read some negative comments on Reduser. When I was Dragonized Red installed the new bottom fan and it SO MUCH BETTER. I hated how noisy my Epic could be and sometimes I felt like I worked at a Hairdressers but now the camera quitely purrs. I am very happy with my Fan 2.0 upgrade.
