  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Shut up and shoot that RED (NSFW)

When you say large sized prints, what size are we talking here?

They were not enormous.

Largest I did was this:
664300_10151811430780126_796963531_o.jpg

at 100x52 cm

(I am kinda broke... and wanted a few samples)

Did it at a high-end photography shop and I scrutinized the image with 4 other photographers usually shooting D800/Hassies/1D/Leica

The print was from a corrected 16-bit TIFF

All were amazed by

skintones
smoothness in highlights and how it rolls into black
texture

And they agreed that doubling that size, would work totally cool

It is shot on a zeiss Jena with a 2k fresnell as the only light

BTW, this image is ONLY gradients.... :)

But it goes from overexposure in the background to black in her armpits and mouth. Deplying the full range of the Epic MX.

No artefacts I or any of the others could see on that, even on a print like that.

I did some sharper, too...

And they worked as great.

I just thought this was a stresstest for tanality...

There was no hint of pixles in any of the prints

old 40'ies 20-100

it is inherently grainy, flary and messy, and i often dare not to take it out , but as often feel gratified when i do.

impossible to really get sharp, but for the right kinds of shots, i love it.
Still feel kinda ballsy when pullimg it out of its green little box.

iso?
these are old...

but i mostly allways shoot 800...

it was just before sunset, i remember....

800, i guess...

(that is NOT to say Epic is noisy at 800. This lens, though...)
