Just wanted to let everyone know and take a look at our feature that we're in the middle of editing. It's called 'OFF-TIME', we've been working on it for a little over a year and it's turning out really great. We really were able to accomplish a lot on a minuscule budget, and a crew of no more than 4 or 5 most of the time. Our lead is a teen idol, we have some great indie and comedic icons, and even the acting debut of a hip hop legend!
Here's the story:
After wrapping up on a few feature film projects, 28 year-old actor Cliff Raines is now finally getting a little bit of a breather from work while living a lonely life in the Los Angeles area. At about that same point in time, high school student Christina Ricelli has just been forced to relocate from Oakland to southern California, where she now has nobody in her life but a deadbeat aunt who wants absolutely nothing to do with her. In time, the lonely and troubled lives of both Cliff and Christina will come together to form a special kind of companionship. As much as the two desperately need each other to get by in an incredibly flawed world full of loneliness, there’s just as many factors going against them.
Some of the familiar faces in the film include Adam LaVorgna (7Th Heaven, I'll Be Home For Christmas, Milk Money, The Beautician and the Beast, Outside Providence), the acting debut of Rakim (hip hop legengend, of the duo Eric B. & Rakim), Brian O'Halloran (Clerks, Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back), Gerry Bednob (40 Year Old Virgin, Zack and Miri), Chris Owen ("The Sherminator" - American Pie, Major Pain, She's All That), Jerod Mixon (Old School, Me Myself and Irene, White T), Dian Bachar (BASEketball, Orgazmo, South Park), Kenneth McGregor (X-Men, Cocktail), Carlos Ramirez (Crank, Crank 2, Human Centipede III, identical twin brother of Efren Ramirez, known for his role as "Pedro" in Napoleon Dynamite), Tony Luke, Jr. (musician, owner of famous Philly cheesesteak chain Tony Luke's, Actor in The Nail: The Story of Joey Nardone, Invincible).
Here is the teaser, shot on Scarlet-X #2133 "Cupid".
Like I said, the film is shot in it's entirety and we're in the middle of post production. We're very proud of what we've done! We're working on getting another teaser, trailer, and more content up soon!
A few weeks ago we launched a Kickstarter to raise funds to finish the film. If successful, the Kickstarter will fund, audio post production, scoring the film, licensing music, and film festival submission fees. So if you can please contribute to our campaign, or help us spread the word. We have some great rewards to give out in exchange for pledges so please check them it on Kickstarter. Thank you!
