  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Desisti 2.5k HMI - Shuts Off

I have a Desisti 2.5k HMI with electronic ballast and after about 10-15 minutes it throws the breaker on the house. It's a 30 amp circuit so there should be plenty of room, plus I know I've used it 3 times before for well over an hour in the very same conditions.

Any idea what's going on?
 
what specific head do you have and ballast? I have the piccaro 2.5k fresnel and a light maker 2.5/4k ballast. considering that you have run it before successfully perhaps a short or voltage leak that is causing it too draw too many amps...? best to have gilbert at galaxy lighting repair look at it. my ballast runs 40A at 120v or 20A at 240. is voltage dropping from the source (ie your house...?)
 
It says Rembrandt model 2520 "Piccolo".

I'll have to check for a voltage drop when I can get my hands on a meter.

Is Galaxy Lighting pretty quick?
