Paralinx - Wireless HD Video - Proud Sponsors of Reduser

[Dan Kanes]

It's a great honor to announce that my company Paralinx is now a proud sponsor of Reduser.

We have a lot of love for Red and also for the community that gathers here and helps support one another by sharing information and learning together. I'm happy to be able to contribute to keeping this forum alive, and thankful for the privelege of sharing information about our company and products here!

We have some very exciting things coming soon, and we can hardly wait to share them here.

Best Regards,

Dan Kanes

Damn, now I have to wait to buy my smallHD monitors!

[Dan Kanes]

There are some amazing things the guys at SmallHD have done with their new DP7 series of monitors.

HD-SDI input and output
HDMI input and output
Bi-Directional Cross Conversion
H.264 Proxy recording (I will get to why this is clever in a minute)
Programmable Color Transforms (LUTs)
A Couple other sexy things I'm sure I forgot to mention.

Now - you can essentially have a wireless HD clamshell monitor/recorder that a director can use wirelessly - with a reference LUT applied to the H.264 "dailies" and take home with them at the end of the day to watch, or watch in the pass van on the way to crew parking, or bring with them and watch at lunch.

That's a lot of smart power in a small, and not terribly expensive package.

The Arrow Sled or Arrow Dock from them is forthcoming, and I don't have a release date - but I will likely be talking to them again soon, so if there is anything I can share I will post about it!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! talk to you soon!

Very interested in your products...long range (500ft - 1500ft) transmission is critical to our long term strategy. Any news on Tomahawk?

[Dan Kanes]

Very soon. Don't want to give the competition any info yet

[PC Greene]
