Dear REDUSERS

I'm shooting my first feature this September.
We would like to use the MöVI from Freefly for an addition or replacement to steadicam work. Most scenes of the movie will be shot in continuous takes involving a lot of camera movement so the MöVI could be the ideal rig for us.
I placed a pre-order. But my number is around 1500 and I don't expect that the piece will be delivered early enough for the shoot.

Would any of you with a low order number be willing to exchange with us?
Or if anyone with a low number in Europe / Switzerland would be ready to rent the piece out to us for shooting.

We can offer: Some Cash / A big thank you in the credits / or anything else we could do for you

An approach could also be if you have pre-ordered the MöVI and not enough cash at hand that we buy it for you, use it for the shoot and sell it back to you afterwards at a very reduced price.

I'd be happy about any offers or hints. PM or simon.jaquemet(at)gmx.net

Cheers

As the August 15th delivery date was announced now: Anyone with a low pre-order number interested in the deal I propose above?

Cheers

My order number looks nothing like that… has anyone figured out their numbering system? I have letters, and no clear indication of digits indicating a place in line. I only placed my order a few days ago so I don't expect to be very high on the list.

to anyone ordering, I would highly recommend ordering at least three wireless monitors, a wireless follow focus, and some high powered batteries. Without these items the movi Is very difficult albeit, next to impossible to use, unless you want very few options when using it.

I had extensive hands on experience with it when they sponsored our short film.

Heres some quick peeks in this video with the M10. It was a great tool, but had as many negatives as positives in my opinion. While being incredibly freeing, it somehow confines you to a very small box.

But get all the right gear out of the gate, otherwise itll just be a very expensive paperweight.

Thanks for the hints about the order number. I ordered only few days after it became available. I'll try to ask Freefly about it.
And thanks for the comments Domenic. Very good to hear someone with an honest feedback. All those enthusiastic reviews on the net seem a little bit suspicious.

I guess it can't be a complete replacement for steadicam. But especially for very fast moving and difficult shots. Like running, going up and down stairs or walking on uneven terrain it could be very useful.

I still hope to have one of these available for my shoot and very grateful about any hints.
