[willy apex]

Looking for a leica zoom 70mm–180mm f/2.8 Vario-APO-Elmarit-R

[Greg M]

sweet lens, but very hard to find. Only about 2500 made and still commanding high $$.

Ive been looking for one for awhile now too.

[Rob Castiglione]

It is VERY difficult to find. On ebay for example there are currently none for sale - though there is a sheep skin bag for it. Given the price of it have you considered buying several of the equivalent primes?

[willy apex]

rob,
i already have a prime set, i want a leightweight leica set , i already have a 19-35-50-80mm, i want to complete this leica set with a 70-180mm

Last week saw a kid bring a big leica zoom into Adorama to sell- think it was 70-180.... I'm sure they ripped him off...

He said he had a ton of leica lenses that his father never used he wanted to sell- wanted to follow him out and make offer but had to leave......

[Rob Castiglione]

Yes, that makes sense. I have a set of R primes as well but have struggled somewhat with committing to Leica zooms. From all reports this was one is very good.

[David Battistella]

I've got one for you.

Pm me if you are still interested.
