Hey Guys,

Having some trouble with our Red Epic and wanted to see if anyone knows a good solution. We just finished shooting with the camera in Spain where it was exposed to some hot weather but wasnt dropped or exposed to water or anything like that. Upon return we found that when we try to boot the camera, all we get is a yellow light and the fan turning on, but the camera doesnt fully power up. We've tried booting with only AC power and all accessories removed, but we still get the same result. Any solutions?

Not sure if this is going in the right direction but you could try to inspect the pins on the back of the camera, make sure none are shorting out by crushed pins making contact with other pins. You could also try removing the Side SSD module and clean those pins with compressed air to check for dust. Try booting with just the camera and the LCD monitor plugged in. Even just the camera, and then after it starts up, wait a minute and then plug the monitor in.

Hi Alex!

We had that same problem last year with our Scarlet.. You should get in touch with your Bombsquad rep.. in our case we ended uo sending the camera back to the US and the warranty covered all the repairs, as well as the S&H costs..

Hope that serves..

Had the same problem with my scarlet a couple of months ago and had to send it back to RED. After a big repair bill, some chips were down and an Epic upgrade, I got an Epic back. Good luck with trouble shooting.
