Yes, I just can't believe how much SPAM I get every time I sign up a new Domain with GoDaddy, via the public way, and it makes sense that is why they want you to pay extra to keep your info private, but I tough the info was just the owner of that Domain, not my email address!!!!

Now for the fifth time I have confirmed, and opened up a G+ email account just for that... So for those that didn't know, now you do too, and hope it will help you get less spammed!

Good to know, Ketch. Thanks for the info.

I gotta say, the GoDaddy people are evil and very pernicious. Not fun to deal with.

Name cheap works great for me. It is good to keep your email out of the who is record, but some places have relatively spam my marketing emails also. Another to stay away from is register.com. I admin a website for a nonprofit, and they actually thought the renewal notice was spam so it expired. It took a few hours on the phone and many sales people telling flat out lies before I got it transferred out.
