Hey all. So I've been using a Konova K2 slider with my 5D mark II and all has been good, but since I got my epic obviously it can't support the epic weight. Any suggestions on sliders? Been looking at the Konova K5 $500, and the Kessler Pocket Dolly (Philip Bloom Edition) $1500.

Any suggestions on these or other types which would be good for the Epic?

Take a look at the GLIDECAM VISTATRACKS.

Cineslider is your best bet. Who wants Phillip Bloom's name on their gear? Cheaper brands are crap from direct experience.

That omni slider by dito looks insaneeeee!!! But a bit above my price range :(

Yes they are indeed priced a bit above some others, but they are also DAY n' NIGHT from the others, I'll possibly be talking to them to see and organize a Group Buy, but there is to be seen the benefit of it with the shipping from Europe to the USA were most buyers will be from.

I using a Atlas 30 from cinevate, super smooth, very compact, 100/75mm bowl, and you can adjust the length of the slider. The only inconvenient is you need two stand or tripod

Ive seen a few 2nd hand cinesliders on here lately... They are tough sliders, highly recommend them. My 3ft travels everywhere with me...

Love this one, even though I don't own it yet: http://mytworks.com/index.php

+1 Definitely go for the MYT Works slider. I also have a Kessler Pocket Dolly for my 5D, but unfortunately it wasn't as smooth as I hoped it would be. Although the MYT Works is a bit more expensive than a Cineslider, it definitely is smoother and has a superb build quality.

Highly recommended!

The MYT Works glider looks really well built. Did you go with the 4-foot version, or longer?

Enjoying my Edelkrone Slider Plus along with the Kessler Low Profile Ball-head :)

I have the Rhino Slider Pro, but the 4ft one really requires two tripods on either end (and maybe sometimes a light stand in the center). I purchased the 2ft travel version, which might be better to help with the flexing. Regardless, it's great and super-affordable.

DANA dolly is closest to almost proper "budget" solution. Not sure about MYT - feels too clumsy and not sturdy enough to me. Things like Kessler has to be thrown away for sure - not even close to be a right tools. Don't waste your money on it, I already did :) It is just not right.

Hmmm is there anything in the pocket dolly department that is good? I will buy the dana dolly, but its obviously very large, and I need something small and fast to setup.
