SUN - 4K - A ZEISS Compact Zoom test!

Hi guys,

this one was my first personal project, where I used the Red Epic (5K, 95fps).

I got the brand new Carl Zeiss 28-80 2.9 Compact Zoom and 70-200 2.9 Compact Zoom from ZEISS as a loaner. Great lenses, noticed nearly no focus- and zoom-shift. Especially the 28-80 is great, but never thought I would use the 70-200 that much!!

I shot this piece within 3 hours, edited natively in 5K in Premiere CS6 and used the tool Film Convert. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me! ;-)

Nice! The Carl Zeiss 28-80 2.9 Compact Zoom looks like a great lens... and it's full frame too! I hear this lens was a bitch to make, and the aperture adjusts at some focal lengths to keep that constant 2.9. Rumour has it there is a wider zoom lens in the works to finish the set. I believe the Zeiss LWZ.2 15.5-45mm will be discontinued when the new one arrives.

Absolutely loving our Zeiss 28-80mm Compact Zoom, matches our Ultra Primes great.. And the 28-80mm has almost zero focus or zoom shift! It's amazing!
