Not Red related (hence the Off-Topic post) but I figured several of you might be interested in how I did an iOS app with a lot of embedded video in an interactive format. And if you have preschoolers learning their letters, numbers or colors and feel like spending 99 cents then this is the app for you :-). I wrote up the making of on my blog

GH2 was good enough for this. Epic would indeed be an overkill.
Shawn,... did you code the app your self?

I did! My brother created the graphics, but I did everything else (concept, code and video)

Shawn, I will have my wife download the app for my kids. That's a win-win. Support you and they get smarter. :-)

Thanks! I'd be curious to know how the kiddos like it. Whether they had fun, or if they got bored when that happened. The parental menu is hidden, double finger double tap to bring it up. If they get bored with letters then you can turn them off and just do nubers and colors (or vice versa). Default is all three.

Incredible! Usually takes at least 3 to 5 people to do all that.

What is the feedback,.. any downloads?

Thanks! Well the app was just released, and releasing an app is like a movie, you have to build an audience. My work there has just begun. I submitted it to several bloggers today.

Yes,.. I know how that is. Promotion is something that is never done. Not for a universal "product" like that.
And you know what,... once you do build an audience and the network of connections it's far easy to get traction with the second app that you might develop.
