Things are changing rapidly in the world of 4K workflow and Apple technology. If you want to come along and catch up on the latest developments, ask questions and generally talk things over with one of the world's leading experts on FCP X workflow, come along to one of our 4K Unplugged Meet Ups and spend two hours in the company of Sam Mestman.

Sam is a working editor and workflow architect with a deep knowledge of Apple FCP X and file-based workflows. He regularly writes for Movie Magazine and We Make Movies.com as well as presenting at LACPUG, Moviola and REDucation events.

Our monthly 4K Unplugged sessions are held on the third Saturday of each month in the Fairbanks Theater on The Lot in West Hollywood from 10 AM to 12 NOON.

Admission to the meet-up is free but attendance is limited to 30 attendees only, plus you MUST be pre-registered for the event in order to gain access to the the Fairbanks Theater. The Lot is a working movie lot and walk-ons will not be allowed by Security. If your name is not on the attendee list for that particular Saturday by 8am, you will not gain access to the meeting.

We've now added Saturday June 15th as the date of the first FCP X Unplugged meeting .... come along and sit down with Sam Mestman and catch up on things that are happening in the wonderful world of FCP X and Apple based 4K workflow.

We'll also be running another paid for FCP X 4K Workflow Training Day on Saturday June 22nd - Sam will go into a ton of detail on how to get the most out of an end-to-end 4K workflow using Apple toolset and Blackmagic's DaVinci Resolve.

Just a gentle reminder that next Saturday (June 15th) at 10 am we're holding our first FCP X Unplugged monthly meet-up ... might prove to be a fun filled occasion.

If you live in LA and are at all interested in finding out more about FCP X, please register beforehand on the EventBrite page (details on the LumaForge website) if you want to come along ... we're on a working movie Lot and Security will not let you on unless your name is on the list at the front gate.

We will be filming (now there's a quaint word) part of the session and be putting it up on our website if you can't make it.

We're also running a 4 hour intensive FCP X 4K Workflow training day on the following Saturday - June 22nd - from 10 am to 3pm if you really want to get down and dirty with FCP X and fully understand the power of this great app for cutting and finishing EPIC 4K projects.

We'll be running the 'FCP X Unplugged' get together every month on the third Saturday of each month ... two hours of relaxed dialog and information exchange plus a 20 minute 'best practices' overview.

We'll also be running the four hour 4K Workflow training day on a regular basis ... suspect there'll be a few things to cover over the coming months.
