Hi folks,

Here's some scenes / Epic motion stills from an up-and-coming documentary I directed and DP'd. The (yet to be titled) film is an independent production filmed entirely in the south of Spain. The documentary weaves a complex narrative on the subject of identity both from a personal and a societal perspective. The film uses the visual world of the Romería de El Rocío (which takes place once every seven years) as a pivotal backdrop point for examining the multi layered relationship between man and mythology, and attempts to chart new territory in the boundary confined world of identity. It goes on to explore various philosophical ideas in critical light such as identity and tradition in momentum, the inherent exclusivity of identity and the intrinsic power structure of identity.
At its core the film attempts to empower the viewer by offering a set of cognitive deciphering tools and by examining, and thus revealing, the roots of what it means to BE.

Nice looking shots but I really wish people wouldn't refer to documentaries as "Doco's" a particularly unpleasant British contraction. I like to think of it as serious work not clown lingo.

This could be an interesting 'off topic' discussion into the influence that culture has on language.

What lens was used for the last of your stills? Looks fisheye but not too distorted.

Stills look great

Shot with Canon CN-E line and L-Series lenses, the fisheye is a 10mm Sigma lens. Which is surprisingly edge-to-edge sharp..
