New lenses from RED?

[Jarek Zabczynski]

Any word on RED updating their lenses? It's been pretty quiet on the lens front and most new stock is gone. I'm considering investing in CP.2s, or used RPPs. New versions from RED would be pretty tasty I'd imagine.

I'm pretty sure Jarred said RED was out of the lens game. I believe he said something to the effect that...because other manufacturers are now making much better glass at more affordable prices, so there's no reason for RED to be in this market anymore. Instead they are focusing on Dragon and new tech.

That's a shame. RPPs and RPZs were best value if you ask me.

I guess we'll never see RPAs...

Since I'm always on sticks or a jib arm, with an AC to make lens changes… I love my RPP's!
