  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Who shipped their scarlet for a EPIC-X?

So this thread is to get a idea on how many cameras are in at RED and average turn around time. Also maybe any repair cost that needed to be done. (Use as personal estimate)

Hi l delivered my Scarlet 1549 Neo in person to RED Europe last Friday 10th May, they said to allow 5 to 7 working days for assessment
and collection of my new Epic. My Scarlet was the first they had actually received for assessment though many are winging there way to them.

Y.L.B. (you lucky b..........) !! gotta get a couple more jobs to justify the upgrade... But man am i jealous..!
 
I sent my one back Friday, on next day delivery to Red Europe. According to tracking data it was received yesterday. I was told 7-10 by my rep. My Scarlet is still young, only ordered it in October last year, so cant see any issue with repairs, and if so is still in warranty etc.

Sent mine in overnight Friday, $200 to get from florida to cali. Should be there monday...hoping for that 3-5day turn around but I won't hold my breath. I don't foresee any repairs being needed as Its been working perfectly fine, although my bottom has paint chips, hoping that doesn't matter.

It's 3-5 days for inspection first, then the order process and assigning serials happens after that.

Its killing me I have 3 more jobs with mine and then ship it out overnight this Saturday. If you have Red Armor and kept it away from Lazers and Liquids you should be fine. Only had mine for less than a year so I think my Red will get a clean bill of health. I too am hoping for a 3-5 day turnaround.
 
Would be nice to keep the number, maybe put a s in front of the 0. But I think getting a epic makes up for the lost of your SN#. ;)
 
Dropped mine off on Friday at Red in Irvine and got this email about two hours ago:

Your SCARLET-X02414 has completed evaluation and our service team has determined no repairs were needed to bring it back up to RED factory specification. Your order has been moved forward for processing and your Bomb Squad Representative will be in contact with you shortly to process your new EPIC-X MYSTERIUM-X (Brain Only) sales order.

I will let you know when I get the green light to go pick it up! :)
 
just curious how are you folks sending your cameras in? any couriers you recommend over others and are you adding extra coverage or using a separate insurance policy when shipping your cameras?
 
did everyone have body caps for when they took off there mounts? did you have to order them? my box foam is perfectly picked for a eos mount and i dont remember putting my mount on.
