I just finished building a new PC and I'm testing it out. I am trying to copy from Red Station to a computer drive using the eSata port and the drive keeps dismounting (or something) in the middle of copying a file. I will be dragging from the station folder to the hard drive folder and the copy will commence. About half way through the Station folder will disappear, the copy process window disappears, and the system opens a new window asking if I want to display the folders as if I had just mounted the Station drive for the first time. The file can be copied using the firewire 800 to a Mac or the mini USB to my hard drive so only the eSata is a problem. I was able to use the same eSata cable and connection with a different drive so the problem appears to be the eSata connection on the station. I suspect eSata firmware/hardware on the Station. Is this something you are familiar with?

I found another twist in the plot... Red Cine X can play the movie directly using the eSata so the problem seems to be more in the copy program.

Thanks,Allee

Hy Allee I dont quite have the same problem, but the result with my esata connection in the windows workstation is the same as yours. So I used a USB 3.0 Adator to esata, and that works fine. 13.7 GB in 90 seconds.

greetings
