NSFW Hey all, I shot and edited this for fun (no didn't use my scarlet - too much water/humidity)
It's a re-envisioning of the shower scene in Hitchcock's Psycho w/ inspiration added by American Horror Story

Yeah, absolutely, if recall correctly that was a very close shot for shot remake. (haven't watched it in a while)

I updated the video and added the SLASHER parts and a whole lotta fake blood shots (Hershey's chocolate sauce)

There's a still a whole lot more blood & the death still waiting to be edited in.
Hopefully I'll get the primary cut finished by the end of the week :thumbsup:

I Finally found time to work on my reinterpretation of Psycho.
It's not done, still got some credit typos, two FX shots, music & folly sounds to work on...

...but the editing of the picture is about 97% done, so I'm stoked!

Pretty cool actually Daniel, but didn't know that Youtube allowed Nudity!

I like it better then the original, tasteful bottom nudity, prior to enter shower, nice touch, only thing is that I would have placed a thicker Blood matter on her supposed stub wounds as to show the texture differences when the water runs over her body.

As for the remake on second clip, I would have at list imagined that with a better understanding of Forensics the blood on Knife and splatters would not go undercooked, but sadly they did big time, also I find her final resting position Vulgar to say the list, or nonetheless vulgarly placed was the camera POV, as I would had angled it as to not show her bottom as it did.

Hitchcock said at the time there's virtually no blood on the girl in Psycho and never a moment where you see the knife actually go into the skin, which was a requirement by censors at the time. I think it actually adds to the scene in that so much of the violence is implied rather than shown.

The sound effects definitely sound like somebody being stabbed... but in this case, I believe they just used Foley recordists stabbing a watermelon.

I suspect it might have been an onion sliced in the original.

I recorded myself stabbing onions, tomatoes and cucumbers for my version... might've over done it just a tad :smash:
