From my shoot with the lovely Chantelle yesterday, some stills grabbed from the 5K footage and two videos so far. Shot with available light, enhanced just with a silver squarebounce reflector, lens was a Canon 28-70 F2.8, shot in 5K at 95fps.

I seem to be having some issues with Vimeo again, I noticed...not so much on the first clip but on the second one that the file seems to get a bit blurry and fuzzy after the upload even though the original is fine and I stuck 100% to the upload recommendations vimeo gives. Argh.

Some stills from the shoot:

And this is the sort of crowd you attract when shooting in public, there were about 5 more off camera, pretty sure that was the highlight of their trip:

Sorry couldn't resist ^^

Those look great! What's your post workflow? I'm moving away from DSLRs for many projects but I haven't worked enough w/ pulling stills from Red footage.

And which sun visor do you have on the lcd screen?

Hey Arthur,

pretty straight forward, pulling TIFF files from RedcineX....doing basic color correction there and then into photoshop to do my usual stills work flow, mostly just beauty retouching for glamour work. The sunshade is a hoodman, definitely worth getting if you shoot outdoors a lot. comes on and off super quick and easy.

Thanks Dominik! So I'm guessing you do your denoising in PS?

I actually havent done any denoising on this stuff, the PS noise remover makes everything very soft. I do have Neat video, but the current version makes my final cut x very sluggish so im not using it a lot. this is all straight out of camera really.

wow, crazy. i guess i need to black shade calibrate each and everytime i shoot. in some conditions i get barely any noise, in others i get a ton

I blackshade maybe once every 2-3 weeks, unless I have a commercial shoot on. but for my private stuff like this I never blackshade specifically. my black shade settings are....camera warming up for 20-30 minutes...then I set the camera to 1fps 1 second exposure time at 5K and blackshade with these settings.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that out
