Got the loaner today, doing some quality control tests (it's probably obvious why at this stage, I mean, 5 RMAs...). Sending the 5th RMA off to Red tomorrow. Got 2 corporate shoots this week, taking a backup camera as per usual so I don't lose more clients. Fortunately the shoot involves retries if something goes wrong. Fvck do I ever feel abandoned by Red. I can't even sell this thing because I can never get a working unit.
Kudos to the RMA team for always being quick and on the ball but I didn't pay $10k to start an import/export business.

I am not a RED user. But I have some opinions which may or may not be helpful.
It seems as if your power supply could be the problem, but this possibility would have been already eliminated. However, the AC source may be suspicious. In a previous house, I had two appliances which wouldn't work in all the power outlets, even though they were active and ordinary appliances would work. I had one LaserDisc player which didn't work in any outlet; and a slide projector which only worked on some.
Some digital Leica cameras will output a faulty frame once the battery is close to being exhausted. I have an M8 and I took a frame just before the battery died, and there is a magenta streak across part of the image. No big deal, it's just the way it is.
It could be that you have a rare condition where your body carries a high electrostatic charge. People with this issue have to wear special wrist watches which are not affected by static electricity.
Some things to think about, FWIW.
