Is it just me or does the rod tie down knob look like it is facing inward toward the camera?

- Two days ago I was hanging from a snow mobile going in full speed trying to track animals. The light was blinding and it was VERY hard to get the focus right.
I was thinking SURELY there is a better way to get focus right. An idea would be
1) Still hang like a lunatic from the snow mobile!
2) A second person is operating the focus sitting calmly with a bigger screen with perfect shade eating grapes. This would of course need wireless motor control of focus.

I simply hope for some way to connect this up to the camera without the need for a full Meizler module. Maybe a +2 Module is in the works!! Tie this into an ipad focus app or RedMotePro_plus Monitor that's at least half the dollars of the Meizler and I'd have my dream. Meizler lite maybe?

Please red make something like a meizler lite as well. Just to have basic lens control

What i dont understand is that up to now., nobody has actually designed something for lens control wirelessly, working with an ios and android app,
Also for remote camera control i thought you would have had it by now, without needing a meizler

Looks like you can mount the rod bracket on both sides.
For me, Red Lens Motor is the best news at this NAB since I have been waiting for a more affordable digital motor. It is basically a half price of Heden, Preston, or M-one.
You should have seen my face when I first saw the motor and heard the price.

It is a digital motor with a standard Lemo connector so it should work with Preston, C-motion, and Digital Bartech (Not Analog).
