  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Music Vid shot on Epic Monochrome

Haha, a lot. All 60 shots in the video required After Effects work. We didn't have the budget to outsource it so we had to learn it ourselves—fortunately it was relatively simple.

Loved the section with the snake!!! The whole thing looks beautiful...

Do you have any links to the articles that helped you out by any chance?
Or perhaps a brief description of anything special you did on set to accomplish it?

I'll be working on learning it on my own, but a point in the right direction if possible would be much appreciated! the video came out amazing!

Thanks Jean-Claude!

I just delved into AE and when I came upon a specific issue (e.g. stabilization with mocha) that stumped me I googled for tutorials. Had to sort through quite a few as there are lots of mediocre ones. The only thing we did on set was have our actors be as still as possible and shoot at a high frame rate—really helped with the post work. But of course there was some subtle movement so we had to use mocha to stabilize several shots.

very cool video!

Whats up with the Flicker?

It's an artifact of shooting slow mo without shutter sync but It's an awesome effect in this situation. Helps sell the frozen motion.

This is amazing. Really love your work, and the idea of cinemagraphs.
