Léo Carax had to smash some Alexa's to make it clear to Caroline that his choice was to shoot Epic...
Remember France was an all Arri world and RED was like calling names.

Very interesting film. I read an interview with Caroline Champetier the DP in which she talks about shooting in the night and size of the Epic. Good stuff.
