I had a thread going elsewhere about my personal short film project "The Hardest Six," but it makes more sense here. So I am posting the just released trailer for the film. The movie was shot over 3 days on 2 Scarlets and a One MX with Zeiss SuperSpeeds and ZF.2s, color was done in resolve. Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

My first self produced 32 minute short film "The Hardest Six" was released January 24th on DVD and has been doing well since. I just started a special promotion donating 20% of all DVD sales to USAWrestling.com to help support the cause and get wrestling back into the olympics. So far I have sold over 350 DVDs nationwide and I would appreciate the help of users here in liking the FB page, sharing it as well as info about the movie, and whatever else to get word out. Not only am I very proud of this movie (shot on Red) but I would like to do my part in supporting the sport I love. Thank you for reading.

DVDs are only $10 (Include movie, making of documentary, music video, trailer, digital copy, and crew commentary)

I ship orders once or twice a week USPS first class mail. So I guess it depends on how far from Maryland you live. On average on a couple days though.

Great job man... some great elements from what I can tell. It's awesome that you could get a crowd in there for the (what I assume) are the final scenes, and good locations.

Thanks Jason for the kind words. The 40min "Making-of" documentary really gets into all the stuff about the crowd, it's a pretty crazy story because we had a hurricane roll through the day before filming and were supposed to have 400 people and we weren't sure who would still come. The doc is appropriately called "The Hardest Year"

Congrats... awesome to hear. I'm debating on "going home" to my old high school to shoot this feature-length coming of age basketball story ("Hoosiers" style) because I know I'd get full support from the community and school, could do it for pennies, just some Hawk rentals I think. They randomly shot "Prancer" there when I was a kid and the town, surprisingly, gave them a lot of static because the were out of town... but with me, my old classmates are on the town counsel (no mayor, haha). Seeing you pull it together makes me wanna try to get mine together now.

Jason, if you try shooting your film I can't stress enough the idea of a raffle. Asking people to sit in place for so long, especially not paid is a challenge. We gave everyone raffle tickets coming in the doors in trade for their photo release, then every 15 - 30 mins we gave a small prize and held the "big prize" till the end (iPod nano) once the big prize was gone most of the crowd left. If we hadn't done that we might have lost a lot of people much earlier in the day. Good luck with your project I hope you give it a try.

Bump...20% of DVD sales will go to the USA Wrestling "Keep Wrestling in the Olympics" campaign. Please check it out and share.
