Premiere Pro has become unusable with my epic files. Every single time I click on a file in the media browser it crashes and I get a serious error

I tried re-downloading premiere and reinstalling the plug-ins, no luck

any suggestions?

I had this exact same thing happen....the only thing that fixed it for me was a complete re-install of Premiere. I then chose not to upgrade to 6.03 and applied the red epic importer and everything runs fine...set me back an hour or so...

what does the error message say...

also FYI updates overwrite the lab plugin....so you have to reinstall the lab plugin after every update

EDIT: See you figured it out

Adobe Product Manager for Premiere has been a lot of help trying to help me figure this out over twitter. Not many companies do that!

right now it looks like
crashes using open cl
works using cuda when theres no external monitor attached to my macbook pro retina

I also have an issue when I use an external monitor...thunderbolt display on my retina, when I removed that from the chain it seems to be more stable but not perfect. When I remove the redrocket sonnet echo express box from the thunderbolt chain I have even more stability which is a real shame. Does anyone with a macbook retina + RR + sonnet thunderbolt set up have a working set up with Adobe PP cs6 where the red files dont show up as a yellow screen "media offline"?
I can get it to work but only for minutes before crashing, very unstable and some R3Ds will always work while orther will never work...maybe difference between firmware builds when I captured those files. I have lost way too much time on this and now looking for alternative edit solution. I am using 6.0.2 but I tied rolling back to 6.0 with no success and I have been speaking with Wes at adobe who has been very good communicating but unfortunately no solution, thunderbolt is unstable. period.
