Wow... Love it. Care to elaborate on how you achieved the look? Lenses/filters... Any CC done to this?

Thanks guys! I normally give a decent write-up with my posts but lately Reduser cares not...(jaded much? A little) Anyway, I shot this with my trusty old Nikkor primes, 2K Tungsten Fresnel's, cheap ebay LED's and a reflector with my Scarlet at 4K, 6:1, 800 ISO, 25p. Some tungsten 3200, some (like the low shot and profile shot) 5600 daylight. Graded in Redcine (just for the stills here...) using curves only. I will do the final grade in DaVinci :) Tutorials will follow at my blog: www.mattscottvisuals.com

Thanks again for the interest and comments! Tomorrow is day two, can't wait :)

Comments and info/insight are always welcome! Here's hoping our appreciation will lift your spirits :D Good luck tomorrow, if these grabs are any indication, I'm sure it'll be stellar. Looking forward to seeing the end result, what kind of project is this?

EDIT: also, what kind of LED's are you running? I'm currently looking at a picking up some cheapo chinese LED lights, but have yet to pull the trigger... how they working out for ya?

Tod, shutter 1/50th... There is some motion blur in the steadicam shot grab (card player) but yeah, for motion it's perfect :)

Thanks Dom!

Hey Nick,

They are no-name LED panels, colour temp adjustable, dim-able and V-lock power optioned.....great when dialed to daylight (5500) but not so nice in colour at the 3200 end. V-lock battery power is mostly why I got them, but they are a great option to have and perfect for on location without a power outlet.

Looks fantastic!

Forget about the camera, lenses and lighting. Those things are supposed to work properly along with the operators. Nice work though. If only I could aspire to the same. You apparently have some decent human company doing the right things each side of the glass and have negotiated access to a remarkable location. Any clues as to where and what?

Yes, my team are remarkable. My original Facebook post heavily focuses on the appreciation and acknowledgement of them and how my craft is greatly enhanced because of them. This is one of the largest collaborative art forms on the planet..and the ultimate reason I have chosen and love film making as a career. That being said, it has taken me 10 years to produce any sort of results like what I've posted here...there's more at play here than a working camera and good circumstances ;)

Thanks for the comments everyone! We leave in two hours for day two... All outdoors this time.

Looks great Matthew... nice job.. you and your team!

Hi Matt,
Please... Never think we don't want to see the work. You are doing exactly what I want to do... and doing it very well...
am heading on over to your website for those tutorials..

Well done, again
