Hey guys,

I have a 23" 1080P Samsung computer monitor which worked fine via HDMI to both my computers originally.

I used the monitor with the R1 for a shoot, coming out of the SDI port of the R1 (since the HDMI port wasn't working) to an HD-SDI/to/HDMI converter, then into the monitor via HDMI. Worked great.

However, now both my computers won't recognise the monitor anymore, but it still works fine with the R1/SDI converter. All the cables have been checked elsewhere and are working fine.

I changed around some of the monitor settings in the Red1 to get it to work originally, but can't seem to get it back!

If it helps, I live in Australia (PAL land)

THANKS

This may sound stupid, but try this:
Unplug the power cord from the monitor.
Hold down the power button on the monitor for 30 seconds (attempting to power it up).
Release power button.
Plug it back in and try using it normally again.

I have an Acer monitor that did something similar and would only power up one side of the screen. Basically something gets confused in the monitor firmware and it does not straighten itself out until ALL electrical charge is drained out of it and it’s restarted.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Michael, tried it, but didn't work unfortunately :(
