With the proper connectors, will the Anton Bauer Dionic-HCX Li-ion Battery (120WH/14.4V) work with the Epic? Have a fleet of them ready to go to work, but I want to 110% sure they will function and play nicely.

I have HC 90 batts in addition to Dionic 160's all working nicely.

Hey Daniel, can you tell me what your full rig entails when using the Anton Bauer battery? So far I have the batteries and a QR-DSLR Gold Mount which has a short cable and connector on it.

The QR-DSLR Gold Mount I believe is the power solution for powering a Canon DSLR, so I am not positive if I piggyback a cable into this device's connector and into the Epic.

Hope I have all this right.

I believe you have the basics if Lemo-type connector on your unit is set to insert into EPIC power receptacle. But that begs question as to why that DSLR-type connector would be same as RED?

I use an MG1 Concepts AB Mount. It is made to connect to rear of EPIC where RedMote mounts. I also have another MG1 plate of longer distance so I can attach my heavier Hytron 140's to rear of CLUTCH rig.

I don't know much about powering DSLR rigs but AB is universally a 12-volt system so as long as DSLR plate is not converting voltage your chances are good. My assumption, though not scientific is if not operable will be due to lack of power if plate optimized for DSLR usage.

Let me know if any other questions arise

All of the Anton Bauer Dionic series (Li-Ion) & the Hytron 140 (NiMh) series will work for you, run times will vary with the battery capacity.
You will of course need the proper mounting plate (http://www.antonbauer.com/Products/QRRED) or any of the other aftermarket plates (will have to differ to users as to which one is best).
The HCX line is an excellent solid battery as are all of the Anton Bauer products.
