  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Help with credits?

Hey everyone.

I was just wondering how the following services would be credited in a short film...

What I did:

On-Set Data Management
Off-Site First Light Grade
Off-Site Transcoding
Off-Site Dailies Creation
On-Set Dailies Distribution
Camera Tech Support

My friend helped out on the shoot when I was unavailable and did this:

On-Set Data Management
Dailies Distribution

They also rented my Scarlet kit and lens.

I'd like to know how my company, my friend, and I should be credited in the film. All input appreciated.

Sounds like DIT duties to me, maybe call your friend a capture tech or digital loader since your the on set colorist

Yep, I was thinking the following...

My Company: "Cameras and Lenses Provided by" or "Camera Equipment Provided by" (not sure which one)

Myself: "DIT"

Friend: "Digital Loader"

Should my company get any dailies or other credits?

I usually credit my friend as Asst. DIT but I don't know if that's a thing...

One of my bigger projects so I wanna make sure we get the credits we should ;)

Haha good idea!

Cool, so it seems like all of it is mostly covered under DIT.

I would say DIT for data management and onset camera/color/settings.

You could invent a new term for the dailies like "Digital Lab" haha.
