SUGGESTIONS OF CAMERA GLIDER FOR R1MX CAMERAS

I like the Dana Dolly
http://www.danadolly.com/
I own the "rental" kit.. comes with a nice case.
you will need stands and rail.
Actually, I have used this on an adjustable height center fold table from office depot and home depot with great results.
for that application, all you need is rail I suggest aluminum, but in a pinch, pvc would do it..
cut to any length you want from 2 feet to as long as you can get.

Just jumping on this thread.

I have one of these sliders. With dual tripod support and a sturdy head this slider should be OK right?

Lewis, I doubt that it will be enough for the heavy R1 ..... I have a similar but I am pretty sure it won't hold up. I'll have to wait and see though.

the Dana Dolly system works great for the R1

If that's the XD hybrid, it will support a fully built REDone just fine. I have the first XD hybrid prototype glidtrack made, mine's about 3-4 years old now. But mine has the 100mm ball adapter for my 1030, and I mounted a O'Connor 100mm bowl in the center for weight. And always use my punky c-stands on each end for weight travel. Easy to clean, and mantain.

It is indeed. That's pretty good news, I thought it would handle the RED One, the track alone weighs a fair bit.
