WTB: Contax Zeiss MMG or MMJ lenses (28 f2 , 35 f1.4 , 85 f1.4)

[Adam Johnson]

I am looking to buy a couple of Contax Zeiss MMG or MMJ lenses. I am currently seeking the following: 28 f2 "Hollywood", 35 f1.4 , and 85 f1.4.

Let me know if you have one or more of these lenses for sale.

Thanks!
Adam

The 28 F2 is the only lens you won't find MM of, only AE varieties exist...

Good luck! You know who's got the 35mm if you want it!

Thanks for the heads up I wasn't 100% about that...glad you could confirm that for me!

Hey Shervin, there's a database list of Contax lenses on pebbleplace.com that does list a MM version of the hollywood:

28mm F2.0 Distagon MM
Zeiss Catalog# 104843
First introduced in 1981
Weight: 530 grams (45 grams heavier then the AE version)

http://www.pebbleplace.com/Personal/Contax_db.html

I have no idea how accurate the database is and I've yet to see a 28/2 MM version myself;
however, If I recall correctly, I read somewhere that they were only made in West Germany (MMG version) and are quite rare.
