Ok so I’ve decided to make the big jump and move to LA as a stereographer along with our cool Epic3D gear. I love France but unfortunately the indie scene here isn’t very much interested in 3D, mostly because our major TV stations have given up on 3D (wish we had a Sky3D or Discovery3D here...). And it’s a bit of a waste as our 3D solutions are really geared towards indie projects. Don’t get me wrong over the last 3 years we’ve been working a lot in 3D... but only a few times in France, most of our serious projects have been shot in and for other countries.
Here is my 2011 Demo Reel that you can watch in 2D or 3D on YouTube, for the latest projects check links further below in this post:
I don’t want to give trouble to my fellow stereographers in the US, so this offer is only good for the first project to hire me in the US and limited in time (two weeks filming). I just want to give myself a little push to get things started in the US as I’m not really known there being based in Paris since I started my 3D career.
Our Epic3D solutions are aiming at indie projects which wouldn’t have been considering shooting 3D otherwise for budgeting and logistics reasons. Indeed our rig is optimized for small teams moving on a fast pace.
We’ve worked closely with 3ality Technica to push this ‘indie’ approach to its maximum potential and they even built for us a special ‘magnesium’ version of their Atom Epic Rig to make it as light as possible. And we almost took an ENG approach to operate the rig with only a team of two. Here is a picture of our team going this ‘ENG 3D style’ last year in Cannes:
As a good example of how our 3D solutions can go all the way to extreme indie style here is an article about how we participated in the 48H film festival contest shooting and finishing a 6min short with Epic3D over a weekend:

I usually come with an assistant as this 3D rig requires a lot of attention to be so efficient I must say. But I can quickly train your usual camera team to get up to speed with this baby. I also have a few assistants already trained in France who can join me rapidly anywhere in the world if necessary.
Here is another picture of my 3D assistant, Raphael Palin, holding the latest version of our rig entirely equipped just with one hand:
And the rig is really well balanced with dual batteries so that the operator can go on shooting for a long time without trouble.
I’ll be available to start giving demos of our 3D solutions in LA starting December 29th. And I will also provide free 3D consulting to productions interested in shooting 3D but who aren’t sure of how this would affect their overall budget and impact their shooting schedule.
As a stereographer I’ve worked on many interesting projects since 2008, including feature level. You might have seen some these other threads on Reduser:

Of course I’m in good standing for working in the US and have the appropriate permit for 2 years. I’ve also lived and worked in the US for about 5 years in the past so I know my way around and won’t be totally lost, so don’t worry
I’ll let you check the following link to my stereographer resume and you can ask Red directly for my credentials. I’ve actually taught 3D in some of the first RedUcations with Ted in LA back in 2010. I then carried on giving training in France to TV/Film professionals when I wasn’t busy shooting on 3D projects.

So don’t worry too much either about the language barrier with me, I’m totally comfortable working with a US crew. If interested you can contact me through our company StereoCorp3D which you’ll find the link to in my signature.
Hope this special offer will be helping some cool indie project getting into the 3D world (but only if it makes sense with the story and if the director is willing to use 3D as a creative/storytelling tool
