How to make an dynamic linked premiere project an After effect "only" project

If you have a premiere timeline with 90% of the clips dynamic linked to ae. But to save alot of time, you want to render all out from after effects instead of premiere. How would you move it over? I dont like to render all dynamic linked ae projekt separate since I have some transitions between them. I could of course start a new after effect project and manually import all the dynamic linked project and put them att the right time but Im pretty sure there is a much better way.

Try;
Open AE-> File -> Import -> Adobe Ppro Project -> Navigate you Ppro file and open.

Above method has no link between AE & Ppro)

What do you mean, I have 90% of the clips dynamic linked to after effects. Seams after effect do not like the clips with links to itself.

Try;
Open AE-> File -> Import -> Adobe Ppro Project -> Navigate you Ppro file and open.

Above method has no link between AE & Ppro)
Just test above, this won't work in your situation.
To render out from AE you can try;
Create New project in AE -> dynamic link -> import Ppro sequnce, this with bring whole Ppro project in AE (even If it was linked).

There are few other method, I will try my best to describe, no sure if work for you but might help,

1- If you done edit in Ppro and after you want polish in AE (without link) and then render out from AE.
Goto AE -> File -> Import -> Adobe Ppro Project + Navigate you Ppro file and open and do you work. and export from there.
(in this method, You can open Ppro comp in AE and work toward to next. No link between AE & Ppro)

2- If your project is done edit in Ppro & locked. Most efficient way to do it, right click on clip & choose “Replace With AE Comp”
(You’re replacing this clip to AE comp, mean if u want to edit again you have to go back in AE to edit this clip).

I did actually miss the option to Import Premiere Pro Sequence. I did import it but I cant drop it into the timeline. Its impossible. So I cant use it in after effect. No possible to render it out.

I always do option 2. replace with after effect composition. But now I feel I should maby stop with this since its super slow even with a fast computer to render project that are dynamic linked.

Okay. I'm trying to get the question...

Joel, you have a bunch of clips that you sent to AE via Dynamic Link (replace with after effects composition). And now you want to render everything out of AE, not just the clips you sent? Is that right?

1) There is a limitation to Dynamic Linking, and that is you can't match frame and replace with the source footage. I think Adobe is aware of this problem, and the general advice is that before you dynamic link the clips over to AE, make a duplicate of the clip/sequence of shots so you can always go back to the source shots easily.

2) I don't think you can dynamic link twice, eg. dynamic link a shot, then dynamic link that AE comp. This would complicate a lot of things. Dynamic linking should always be seen as a last step in the project (eg. color correction/vfx pass), not during the creative editing process, and if you do send stuff over to AE, I'll duplicate the clips on track 2 and disable the clip so I have something to back to.

I gave up on dynamically linking between AE and Premiere with red footage for this exact reason. However, there is still a great use for dynamic link and that's a good ol copy and paste. Becasue of the link between the two programs, you can create a project in Premiere, literally select all the clips, copy them, and paste them into a timeline in AE. All of the timecode, source settings, key frames etc (except for some effects) will be copied as well. Make sure that you uncheck scale to frame size before you copy and work in a 4K or 5K timeline, or scale clips manually in After effects, otherwise it will create a comp for each clip (this can be usefull as well if that is the type of workflow you want).
As to how this can help you at this point, not much really. I now render clips from AE in AE, its just too slow to work with dynamic link.
