USB3 REDMAG Reader - Mac issues?

I remember a bunch of people saying they had issues using the USB3 REDMAG reader on Mac, is that still the case?

I used mine for the first time this weekend with a new Mac Mini and it worked great.

I originally had an issue with the drive not showing up but after replacing the cable it's worked flawlessly.

mine works fine on my 3 year mac mini core 2 duo, same with my buddies machine. but those have usb2 ports i'm plugging into or firewire 8 depending what i'm doing hdd wise. sometimes it has mounting issues when i'm using bus power, at least this happened one time and i have been using ac power since then and haven't had an issue. i hope its not burnt out from using bus power too much, but i think it only has a 90 day warranty so i'm screwed either way. a new reader is less money then my insurance deduction so i have been just hoping i didnt burn it out...

Excellent! Just upgraded to the new MBP, will make offloading much easier! eSATA has always been flakey at best.

I thought I had a problem since my drive wasn't bus powered but turns out that it was a bad drive and not the model or not the firmware missing the function. Red replaced it with a working drive and all works perfectly.
