AVID- Aspect ratio and filter question

Hi all,

I have two quick questions for AVID editors.


1) What is the correct resize numbers for 4.5K WS footage to desqueeze the image?

2) Does Symphony have an unsharp mask or sharpening filter and if not, what plug-ins will work in AVID to accomplish this task?

4.5K WS isn't a squeezed image. Why would you need to desqueeze?

when we process the R3D file in Filmconvert, it is indeed a sqeezed image.

Film convert is messing up the R3D? I have never seen a 4.5K WS R3D squeezed. Ever.

There are several manufacturers making plug-ins for Media Composer. They're called 'AVX.' If you got the boxed version of symphony it came with Boris continuum complete, BCC, which isn't perfect but great for the price. BCC has an unsharp mask.
