  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm really anxious about this. Bought mine 11/7

As people receive their R1 we could say here and first impressions.

I know many of us already been using Red cameras for a time, but this is my first owned RED, not a rented one! I think would be nice to show some love... lol

And you guys? Received your BT? What's your feelings? Perhaps some pics? haha
 
I'm pretty anxious, but then I realize that I do not have the proper accessories to get it running yet. Also the fact I have to change my entire workflow and way of thinking to actually utilize the R1 Properly. Other than that, pretty excited
 
Bought mine 1st or 2nd Nov. Got FedEx email that first shipment - pretty much everything besides the camera - is on its way! Said 2-3 weeks estimated wait before shipping actual camera, so shouldn't be too long now, VERY EXCITED. Dan @ Bomb Squad has been really great with almost daily emails.


Will definitely post pics once received!
 
Bought just past midnight on the 2nd. Got confirmation, have spoken briefly with Red to confirm this, but nothing about shipping yet. I check my order status on red.com hourly... Too damn excited.
 
Does the order status ever change? I came across an old post the other day talking about how the order status for one user hasn't even changed and they have received their items.

Can anyone help me clear this, I got my order receipt on 12/11/2012 but not confirmation on any deduction debit alert from my bank...is that normal? I am currently Offshore working and has not been able to reach anybody at the Bomb Squad...should I be worried?

guys they are back logged cuz of the sale, everyone in the world and their mom bought a camera. they will eventually get to you, its good service but at times they can be overwhelmed by their popularity
 
Actually I paid with my CARD...thanks Samir, That's comforting for now, will call the Bomb Squad when the lines are up.
 
I imagine the Scarlet and Epic order counts are very high also, so it's not just R1's that are backlogged, plus Thanksgiving will likely slow things down a bit. Then shipping around Christmas. Yeah, I'm not in a hurry.

I don't think it will take that long... Actually bought mine on the first week (11/7) so I'm counting on the 2-3 weeks on order details. This baby has already a job scheduled for the beginning of december. I hope I don't have to rent one. lol
 
Yeah weren't we just told by Jim that they're shipping, or about to be shipping?

I too have a job in December with mine haha.

I ordered mine on the 8th. I think early December is reasonable. 15 working days from the 8th is November 30, plus several days for shipping puts it into December. If it gets here sooner, well, that'd be fine too! I am just happy to finally have a camera I don't have to fight.
